Mitzvah Day

Sunday, May 18 at 8:45 AM

How can you participate?

Participate in an On-site Activity Starting at 8:45 AM

Participants can rotate through as many of these stations as you'd like:

- Meet a Seeing Eye dog
- Make and pack sandwiches
- Write cards to seniors, hospitalized children, or IDF soldiers
- Swab your cheek for the bone marrow registry
- Prepare a gift basket for our local emergency services
- Learn about our Tikkun Olam committee and volunteer opportunities through TEE

We will also be collecting diapers (all sizes), wipes, and formula for Jewish Family Service's food pantry in Elizabeth.

The following experiences have limited space. Please register in advance—details will be emailed to participants closer to the event.

- Spring planting on temple grounds. Participants younger than 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Bring your own gardening trowel and gloves, and clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
- Decorate and pack bags for the Elizabeth Coalition to House the Homeless. You will be asked to bring a donation which will be emailed to you after you register.
- Share a video memory of TEE and help us preserve the history of our congregation to share with future generations.

Donate Blood

Participate in our on-site blood drive and make a direct, lifesaving impact in our community. From 9 AM to 3 PM there will be a blood mobile on-site! Join us to give and get a box of Girl Scout cookies (while supplies last). All donors must eat well and hydrate, bring a photo ID, feel good and be symptom free, be 17 years or older or 15 with a parental consent form, and meet minimum weight requirements. Use the button below to make an appointment (use the sponsor code 72917) or call/text Genevive at 732-627-5281.

2025 Greta's Run 5K & Memory Walk Starting at 8:30 AM

Are you signed up to be a runner at Greta's run? All runners should meet at Roosevalt at the corner of Clark and Tuttle Parkway at 8:30 AM. You will see a big Temple Emanu-El banner!

If you haven't already signed up to participate in the run, there is still time! You can register for the run here.

Please note on the registration form that you're part of the TEE team.

Park Clean Up Starting at 8:30 AM

Join us for a local community park clean-up and help make a difference! We're coming together to pick up litter, tidy up green spaces, and make the park beautiful for everyone. All ages are welcome—bring your friends, family, and your community spirit!

This event begins at 8:30 AM. Participants will receive an email close to the event with meeting point information. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
